Women also tend to be very careful about the words they choose, or at least have a problem with using words and phrases that may offend someone.It's hard to find the term women writers unless you go back into history. As a matter of fact, few people think of women writers during writing workshops. You are more likely to hear about men's writers at the college level or in literary journals. Writers generally thin k of men as writers who tend to use an 'I' when they should use a 'we.'Men often speak more. Men use fewer 'we 's and more 'I 's. When women talk and try to use as many 'we' s as men do, it can feel like they don't have a point.The notion that women do not write is a stereotype and not true. Women are very good at thinking about what they're going to say before they speak. This doesn't mean that women don't hear what they say or think about it a great deal.Women don't write any differently than men do. The idea that you can tell by their body language whether they are writing or not is a myth. Just as with any part of a woman's body, you can tell if a woman is writing or not by how she moves her hands, whether her hands look tense or if they are moving freely.When you read women writing, you will find that they use more 'I' s in their sentences than men do.
